The new Florida legislature has made it mandatory for all condo owners in Florida to provide proof of their home-owner’s insurance. In case the condo owner, does not have an insurance policy than the Condominium Association may buy an insurance policy for the owner, on his or her behalf. The cost of such a policy would be paid by the owner himself.
Florida Condo Insurance Policy – Homeowners 6 Policy
Under the aegis of the new Florida Condo Insurance law, condo owners are entitled to Homeowners 6 policy. This policy ensures coverage of contents within a condo that are not included in a condo association insurance policy. It is mandatory for every Condo owner to get a Florida Condo Insurance policy which is separated from the condo association insurance master policy.
